The Port Elizabeth Linux User Group is a group of people who are passionate about Linux. We meet as often as we can to discuss our successes and failures and to share information about our experiences. This forms a wonderful peer support group which will help users at all levels of the spectrum. Meetings will be discussed on the forums.
Current projects. Our primary project is to assist the Inkululeko Technologies with their tuXlab project. The tuXlab project assists under privelleged schools in acquiring computers. We arrive with 20 thin clients and a server an leave behind some seriously happy children playing in a feature rich computer lab. We also have a Freedom Toaster. Although this is not actually our project. The Freedom Toaster is located at BayFM at The Bridge. You arrive with blank CDs and walk away with the distribution of you choice. |
